Ryan J. Manilla, BA, JD, is an Ontario lawyer and the legal professional behind Family Law in Ontario.
For more than 15 years, Ryan has practised law in Ontario. He manages this website and oversees how its educational content is researched, written and reviewed for general legal accuracy — helping readers understand topics like separation, divorce, parenting arrangements, support and property division clearly enough to ask better questions, whatever path they take next.
Ryan holds a Bachelor of Arts and a Juris Doctor. He graduated with distinction from York University and Western University, and graduated in the top 10% of his class at Osgoode Hall Law School. Earlier in his career, he gained experience working at a prominent New York City law firm before returning to Ontario.
He continues to invest in his legal and business education, including completing Harvard Law School's Financial Analysis and Valuation for Lawyers program.
